Adopt a Pug (short coat)

Pug (short coat) Dog

Capone the Dog needs a home

Capone came to Pug Luv from a local shelter where he was turned in by his owner.  He is 10 years old, has been brought up to date on his Rabies, DHLLP, Bordetella, heartworm, blood and fecal testing.  He has bilateral ear infections that are being treated, had a dental with 13 extractions, had some growths removed and suffers from back issues.  He is a happy boy and can be frisky.  He is house trained and loves attention.  Capone was examined by the Neurologist on January 30th and had an MRI.  The test revealed he has a cyst on his spine approximately 2 mm in length that is filled with fluid.  Because of his unknown past it was not possible to determine how long it had been there.  The Neurologist felt at his age surgery was not an option.  He is not in pain and will use rubber boots when outside.  A Help em Up harness is also being used to assist him.

Capone was seen by the Neurologist on November 20th.  His strength in his hind legs has continued to decline.  He is being fitted with a cart to be used when he is outside to give him the ability to get some exercise on a limited basis.  He remains alert and does not appear to be in any pain.  As a result of the cart he is able to get more exercise and enjoys running aroung in the back yard of his foster home.
